Permaculture
in the
Desert
salam aleykum – welcome.
We are M'Barek and Jessica and we are making permaculture in the desert. In the small village of Tagounite - in the south-east of Morocco - we are planting a foodforest garden the size of two football fields and bringing permaculture to the desert.
A small academy forms the centrepiece. We want to empower locals to look after themselves by passing on our knowledge and experience to them.
Our dream: The many small self-sufficient gardens together form a lush, fertile oasis.
Livelihoods are secured.
Desertification is stopped.
